IBM Fortran Compiler 1.00

This is IBM's FORTRAN compiler software for the IBM PC. It was written by Microsoft and is similar to the Microsoft FORTRAN Compiler. up until IBM Fortran/2.

This was one of the standard language products that IBM provided for the IBM Personal Computer. Other standard language products included Pascal, Cobol and Assembler.

The initial 1.0 release was considered rather buggy, inefficient, and limited. At initial release, the IBM PC version competed against Microsoft's FORTRAN compiler, the UCSD P-Code FORTRAN compiler, and SuperSoft FORTRAN.
