Tandy 2000 MS-Windows Pre-Installation 1.x

This is a "pre-installation" disk distributed by Tandy that you run to add Tandy 2000 support to Microsoft Windows 1.x.

The Tandy 2000 is a very powerful but non-IBM PC hardware compatible system that runs an adaption of MS-DOS. This driver set enables the standard Windows 1.01 distribution to run. It adds support for Model 2000's high resolution graphics as well as the Digi-mouse.

Once installed, programs written to run under Windows 1 become usable on the Tandy 2000, such as Pagemaker 1.0.

Installation instructions

To use this software: First, create a set of Windows 1.01 installation disks using the standard Microsoft retail distribution media. Write the pre-installation disk image to a floppy, then run "t2000.bat", or "t2000hd.bat" if you have a hard drive. This will replace files on your Windows 1.01 installation disks.

When copying is completed, run the Windows 1.01 SETUP program.
