IBM Personal Computer Sort Version 1.00 is a highly optimized and flexible high speed flat file database sorting and merging facility. It is an IBM OEM version of the Microsoft Sort programmer's utility. It operates using a programmable interpreter, supports ASCII and EBCIDIC, and can be used standalone or from any programming language.

The IBM-JX release was packaged for the IBM-JX, but should work on any DOS system.
The IBM JX was a follow up to the IBM PCJr that was only sold in Australia and Japan. It uses a non-standard 3.5" 360k floppy disk format.
