Clarion 2.X (DOS)

Clarion is an advanced user friendly 4GL DBMS and programming environment for DOS and Windows. It boasted the ability to greatly reduce application development time, featured highly integrated visual creation tools, and a powerful set of program functions.

It competed with relational database products such as dBase, R:Base, Data Ease, Clipper, FoxPro, and Paradox.

Clarion 2.x is available in Professional Developer and Personal Developer variates.

Clarion Professional Developer 2.x is a rapid application development DBMS tool. It can interface with C and Assembler routines, import and export dBase, Basic and DIF files, can generate EXE applications, and supports networks. Version 2.1 includes Report Writer for easy report creation.

Clarion Personal Developer is a low cost entry level version of the Clarion database product. It is very limited, but can be used for some basic database applications.
